What is Franking Service?
Franking Service is designed for businesses aiming to streamline their mail management by outsourcing the franking of their letters to us. All you need to do is apply a barcode to your domestic or international First Class Letters and submit them. We ensure you always pay the correct postage based on the weight and destination country.
Franking Service is a subscription-based service billed in advance at the end of each month. and tied to a single customer number and allows submissions across Sweden. To send Franking Service, you need to become a service agreement customer.
Delivery
Letters sent with Franking Service are treated as First Class Letters and delivered to the recipient's mailbox within 1–2 business days within Sweden. For destinations outside Sweden, delivery times vary depending on the recipient's country.

How do I order Franking Service?
Order in Portal Business
Franking Service can be ordered through PostNord Portal Business, which is accessible to you as a service agreement customer. In Portal Business, you can order and manage your other postal services, as well as modify or terminate your subscriptions.
Preparation of Letters
Marking Instructions
The envelopes must be marked with the Franking Service barcode A and include a clearly visible Swedish sender address. We provide the barcode, which is linked to your customer number with us. The sender information must match the payment account associated with the customer number referenced in the barcode.
For standard envelopes place the barcode in the upper-right corner, at least 10 mm from the top edge and 20 mm from the right edge. For B4 or other gusseted envelopes position the barcode 5 mm from both the top and right edges of the envelope.
Packing Instructions
For larger mailings, items should be sorted by format and divided by mail type: First Class Letters, International Letters within Europe, and International Letters outside Europe, in PostNord's blue boxes. Place the items upright and do not fill the box higher than the line marked on the inside of the box.
Submission
Mail Pickup
The easiest way to send your Franking Service is to combine it with one of our other postal services Mail Pickup. With this service, we will pick up all your mail every business day between 13:00 and 18:00. You can also order the additional service Scheduled Time, where we will collect your mail at the same time every weekday.
Service Point, Terminal and Yellow Mailbox.
Franking Service can also be submitted at all our Service Points, terminals, and in our yellow mailboxes across Sweden. Submission times may vary depending on the drop-off location.
